Scarabaeus Ceramics is based on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, utilizing reclaimed and recycled scrap and waste clay to make new items inspired by magic, myth, and mortality.

Meet the artist:

My name is Lauren and I’m the hands behind the shenanigans in the studio. I’m a volunteer shop creature at RiverArts Clay Studio in Chestertown, MD, where I took my first wheel class three years ago. I often bring by work to various comic/fan conventions, as well as oddities expos that visit Baltimore, D.C., and Philadelphia.

When I’m not covered in clay, I’m a Doctor of Nursing Practice that specializes in Family Primary Care.
