How long does it take to make an item?

  • It takes at least one week to create most pieces. The clay must be shaped by wheel then hand sculpted, dried into greenware, bisc-fired, glazed, then glaze-fired. Since I work mainly out of a community pottery studio, the frequency at which the kilns are fired varies.

How do you price your items?

  • Pieces are priced based on materials, time, and skill needed to make each piece. Individual items have their own listing to better keep track of inventory, but pieces from the same collections and size range are often priced the same.

Where do you ship to?

  • I ship globally, with exception of the following countries due to US Postal Service shipping restrictions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria.

All sales to Russia and Belarus have been suspended, in light of the invasion of Ukraine.

Can I purchase from you at a craft fair?

  • Absolutely! If a fair or convention I’ll be selling at is coming up, I’ll have a post on the home page with as much information as I can provide. Hope to see you soon!

Are your pieces microwave/dishwasher/food safe?

  • Yes, yes, and depending on the item, yes! All ceramics are coated with food-safe cone 6 glazes, but for pieces to be fully food-safe, the surfaces that come into contact with food or drink must be glazed. Items like the cauldrons are fired up-side down to preserve the detail in the feet, and as a result are not food safe since their lip is uncoated ceramic. All glazed ceramic pieces have an unglazed area to rest on while they are glaze-fired to keep the glaze from fusing the item to the kiln shelf.
